Welcome to Writing Sessions with Layla — a safe, creative space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences through guided writing. These sessions are designed to support self-expression, reflection, and personal growth — but they are not therapy sessions.

About Layla

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Counselling and Integrative Therapy, and I draw on this education to guide each session thoughtfully and intentionally.

Occasionally, we’ll welcome guest experts — such as therapists or psychologists — to support sessions that explore deeper themes, particularly when working with trauma, emotional release, or subconscious healing.

Ways to Join

Chill with Layla (16+)

A relaxed, supportive writing circle for anyone aged 16 and over. We’ll explore themes like self-love, creativity, and authentic expression in a safe and nurturing space.

Wine with Layla (18+)

A more grown-up evening session for participants aged 18 and over. Bring a glass of wine (or your favourite drink) and explore deeper themes such as emotional processing, personal growth, and releasing what no longer serves you.

Survivors Write: Healing from Sexual Abuse & Sexual Assault (18+)

A dedicated, trauma-aware monthly writing circle for adult survivors of sexual abuse or sexual assault. This space is slower, more contained, and intentionally designed to support healing through writing, grounding, and gentle reflection.

These sessions take place once a month and run separately from the more spontaneous With Layla sessions. More details about this offering can be found on the Survivors Write page.

How It Works

Sessions are held remotely, so you can join from anywhere in the world (times are based on London, UK).

Chill with Layla and Wine with Layla do not run on a fixed schedule — sessions are released spontaneously when they’re ready, so staying connected is the best way to join when new dates are announced.

The Survivors Write sessions run once per month, with dates shared in advance.

Each session — across all formats — has its own theme, which may include self-care, storytelling, emotional release, reflection, or creative exploration.

Some sessions will be free, while others may request a donation or small fee to support the work.

Depending on demand, in-person sessions may also be offered in London, UK (and potentially beyond).
